The structured investor process for Loddenkemper and Femira was successfully concluded with a purchase agreement between Hüls AG & Co. KG and the Wiemann family as a strategic investor, as stated in a press release. The contracting parties have agreed to maintain silence about the purchase price.

"As announced, we have found a partner for Loddenkemper and Femira on October 1, 2018, who knows the industry inside out and fits in entrepreneurially with the qualities and competences of the two divisions," commented Paul Jähn, CEO of Hüls AG & Co. KG, the conclusion of the contract. "Now we are continuing the reorientation of the corporate group and strengthening the strengths of the Hülsta umbrella brand".

Jähn pays tribute to the "calm, concentrated and professional work" of all involved in this investor process. In particular, he describes the talks with IG Metall, the elected employee representatives and the workforce as "just as critical as it is purposeful".

"We want to continue the refurbishment course at Loddenkemper and Femira with the aim of developing the skills and abilities of companies in solid, varnished and veneered wood", explains Markus Wiemann. "In this respect, we invest in the competence as a full-range provider of bedrooms and beds. We believe that the specialized trade supports us accordingly. It is planned that at Loddenkemper and Femira the proven 'teams' will stay aboard and be strengthened."
