German kitchen furniture industry
Turnover also increased in August

The turnover of the German kitchen furniture industry also increased in August compared to the same month of the previous year (+ 2.60%). This is evident from the latest data from the Association of the German Kitchen Furniture Industry (VdDK). This continues the positive trend, after a plus of 17.11% was recorded in July.

Domestic sales in August were 1.93% higher than in August 2017. International sales increased by 3.64%. The export quota stood at 39.69% in August. In August, 16,365 people worked in the 47 kitchen furniture companies with more than 50 employees.

Overall, the industry has already generated over € 3.1 billion in kitchen furniture after August. More than € 1.8bn thereof in Germany, over € 980m with countries in the euro area and over € 309m with countries outside the eurozone.
