Gerd Bulthaup died

After a short illness Gerd Bulthaup (photo) died on 1 August 2019. Gerd Bulthaup led the family business Bulthaup in the second generation from 1979 to 2003. Following his departure, he accompanied the company as a shareholder in supervisory and advisory functions.

An obituary states: "With his personality and his values, he has shaped the brand and led to an international reputation. He had the courage to consistently go new ways and create products that have become milestones in the history of the kitchen. He was honored for his life's work as an entrepreneur and kitchen revolutionary. His name and the memory of him will live forever in the Bulthaup brand and in the hearts of all those he inspired by his work and whose lives he has changed. The company Bulthaup has lost the pioneer of the brand, a great personality and a wonderful person. But his inspiration and passion for the brand will forever be deeply rooted in the company and in the minds of its employees and bulthaup partners. "
